Pairs of skis facing each other with their bases are arranged, preferably on a horizontal support, such that at one layer or level the ski tips of the pairs are oriented in one direction and in the adjacent layer or level the pairs are arranged with the tips at the opposite end. By such arrangement, the binding pieces of the skis of adjacent layers interdigitate saving not only the space between adjacent pairs of skis but also at the ends of the skis. The described rack has the spacing of preferably horizontal prongs such as to allow a compact placement of the skis in series of four skis per each layer or level. Such arrangement allows convenient manual withdrawal of four pairs of skis at a time which is of advantage in establishments such as ski rental shops. The racks are preferably provided with wheels so as to be mobile to allow rearrangement of the racks within a rental storage room. The advance over the known art is in that the invention achieves the interdigitation of the boot bindings by simply alternating the position of the tips of adjacent layers or levels of the pairs of skis.
|
