<p>PURPOSE:To attain packet communication service without individual management of a terminal equipment in each subscriber by assigning a logical channel group number for each data terminal equipment and informing the logical channel number from the terminal equipment in the presence of an incoming call. CONSTITUTION:In the packet communication service system, each subscriber 41 is provided with a logical channel management memory 42 for each terminal adaptor TA 29 and an LCGN (logical channel group number) area 31 used by a corresponding DTE (data terminal equipment) 15 is specified so as not to be made coincident together and stored in the memory 42. Then an idle virtual circuit (VC) number in the LCGN area 31 is stored in the memory 42. On the other hand, when an incoming request exists in the DTE 15 in the subscriber 41, the LCGN number used by the DTE is informed to the ISDN (integral digital control network) 12 side from the subscriber side according to the content of the memory 42 and the idle VC number in the memory 42 of the subscriber is decremented 1 at the same time.</p> |
