PURPOSE:To designate an area with good operability in consideration of operator's input intention by automatically deciding and processing whether inputted coordinates indicate two diagonal points of an area or the corners of the area based on positional relations between input coordinates. CONSTITUTION:A counter (i) is preset to 0, and X components and Y components of input coordinates are successively set in areas (PX0, PY0), (PX1, PYi)...(PX1, PYi) of a RAM when coordinates are inputted with a pen. When an OK key is depressed, the number of inputs at this time is checked by the counter and if this number is zero or one, the area cannot be settled and it is judged that the area is not designated. If the number of inputs is two, the diagonal system is decided and the processing is performed and if it is three or more, the corner system is decided and the processing is performed. Since the system is distinguished by the number of inputs at the time of depressing the OK key, the system which the operator intends is automatically decided in accordance with the number of required coordinates. |
