PURPOSE:To uniformly treat the whole surface of a product, by providing an electrically conductive layer to be used as the title counter electrode on the rear of the plastic product through a protective layer, and forming the protective layer for the through hole and notch of the product with a heat-resistant resin at the time of reforming the surface of the three-dimensional product by a corona discharge. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the intricate three-dimensional plastic product 2 is treated with a corona discharge to improve the adhesion of paint, adhesives, etc., to the surface. In this case, the counterelectrode D consisting of a protective layer 11 wherein a material having excellent resistance to heat and oxidation such as heat- resistant epoxy resin, fluororesin, ad silicone resin is used at the part corresponding to the through hole and notch 4 of the product 2, an electrically conductive layer 12 of Cu, etc., on the rear of the layer 11, and a plastic base material 13 covering the layer 12 is provided on the rear of the product 2 as the counter electrode for a corona discharge electrode 18. The corona discharge electrode 18 is moved along the profile of the product 2, a corona discharge is generated between the electrode 18 and the counter electrode 12, and the surface of the three-dimensional product 2 is uniformly treated by the corona discharge.
