PURPOSE:To manufacture a pellet having a large angle of repose, by charging, as a sole of a sintering machine, pellets or those with which binders and coke are further blended, so as to form the pellets into nodular state. CONSTITUTION:When pellets 1 are charged and a sole onto a grate 2 of a sintering machine and then blended raw materials for sintering are placed on the above to undergo sintering, a sinter cake 3 is formed and voids 6 are formed in the above. Since the sintering bed is overheated with the approach to the lower layer and, as a result, temp. is elevated and the raw materials are sufficiently melted, the melt (dripping-down slag) 4 of the blended raw materials acts as glue and binds the pellets together so as to form the pellets into nodular state. In this way, the pellet 1 is made difficult to roll, so that pellet with large angle of repose can be obtained. At this time, when a CaO sourse and/or an SiO2 source or further coke is blended with the pellet 1, nodulation can be accelerated.
