<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title chamber which is composed of a U- or V-shaped tube which is provided with a pair of electrodes at the bottom and has inlets for introducing cell suspension on both tube ends, thus facilitating electric cell fusion. CONSTITUTION:Suspensions of cells 16a, 16b are introduced into the fore chambers 8a, 8b in the V-shaped or U-shaped tube equipped with a pair of electrodes 6a, 6b across the fusion chamber 4 at the bottom and the tube is capped with lids 10a, 10b. Then, the tube is set to the centrifugation tube holder 12 and fixed with the supporter 14. The centrifuge is driven to collect the cells 16a, 16b through ducts 2a, 2b and the electrodes 6a, 6b into the fusion chamber 4. The tube is demounted from the holder 12 and set to the electricity application holder 18a, 18b. The switch 24 is turned to the high frequency generator 20 to apply a high frequency voltage to the cells 16a, 16b and to bring the cells into contact. Then, the switch is turned to the high-voltage pulse generator 22 to apply the high voltage pulses to between the holders 18a and 18b for cell fusion.</p> |
