<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the excess length disposal very much and to facilitate the connection to an optical apparatus by constituting a device of a reel, around which the excess length part of an optical fiber cable is wound, and a reel holder which supports this reel freely attachably and detachably. CONSTITUTION:A reel holder 18 consists of a side wall 19 and a rear wall 20 and is made of a metallic plate or a hard rigid resin, and a downward hook- shaped engaging part 21 is provided in the front edge of the side wall 19 and the width of the engaging part 21 is so set that a shaft 15 of a reel 11 is easily inserted though the engaging part 21 and this width is smaller than the diameter of a large-diameter part 14. A pin 22 with which a notch 16 provided in said large-diameter part 14 should be engaged is provided on the outside of the side wall under the deep downward part of the engaging part 21. This holder 18 is attached onto a proper supporting base, and an optical fiber cable 23 is wound around a body 12 of the reel 11, and thereafter, the shaft is fitted to the deep downward part of the notch 21 of the reel holder 18 and the notch 16 of the large-diameter part 14 is engaged with the pin 22 to stop rotation.</p> |
