A power take-off modular system A, B comprising modular units each having a number of openings 15 giving access to a gear wheel 9 journalled 10 in the housing. The power take-offs result as axle ends 6 in each unit when they are coupled to a drive unit, e.g. the gear wheel 2 in a gear 1. By means of planar mounting faces 3, 11 and mounting holes 4, 12, the modular units may be coupled together. Further modules C, C' with releasable clutches may be mounted onto the power take-off modules A, B, such that it becomes possible to engage and disengage the pump or generator which is mounted onto the module, independently of the rest of the power take-offs. <IMAGE>
