PURPOSE:To prevent a light emitting omission by detecting the light emission quantity of a xenon lamp, counting the number of times of non-light emission, when said quantity does not reach a prescribed value, and stopping the light emission, when its count value is larger than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:By controlling each of light emitting parts X1-X4 by a light emission control circuit 3, a light emission is executed in a short period. In this regard, filters F1-F3 are provided on the light emitting parts X1-X3 so as to obtain a specific coloring light. In such a state, the light emission quantity or the light emission intensity from the light emitting parts X1-X4 is detected by a photometric circuit 4, and subsequently, whether the detected light quantity is dropped from a prescribed value or not is decided by a deciding part 5. When said quantity is dropped, the number of times of detection of non-light emission is counted by counters C1-C4. Also, when it is decided by a deciding part 8 that a count value of non-light emission is larger than a prescribed value, the light emission is stopped. Accordingly, since a service life of a lamp is decided by comparing the light emission quantity of a xenon lamp with a prescribed value, a light emitting omission can be prevented. |
