PURPOSE:To accept a subscriber request from an unsubscribed node without intermission or disturbance of communication between subscribed nodes by setting a subscriber request transmission period between a taken frame and a data frame. CONSTITUTION:An unsubscribed node address part 3 is a component of a token frame added newly. A taken node having a token specifies an address of a subscriber node 20alpha giving a token according to the order of storage of a subscriber node table 22 and sets it to a token transmission destination address part 2 of a token frame 10, specifies an address of an unsubscribed node 20beta inquiring about the presence of a subscriber request and sets the result to the unsubscribed node address part 3 of the token frame 10. In setting the token frame 10 in this way, the token node sends the token frame 10 to a communication line 21 during the token frame transmission period.
