PURPOSE:To realize a satisfactory selecting operation of a secondary menu by displaying only those secondary menus that can be actually selected in a selection mode of secondary menus. CONSTITUTION:A pointing device 5 selects a desired one of those primary menu items showing the contents of each primary job displayed on a display device 9. Thus, a table where the items of all menus corresponding to the primary menu items are arranged with numbers is prepared at a secondary menu memory part 4. At the same time, a display menu control part 6 contains a table including the item numbers of a secondary menu that is presently applicable. Then, a table producing device 7 extracts only the applicable items from those items with numbers of a table provided at the part 4 and based on the item numbers of the table prepared at the part 6. Thus the device 7 produces a new table and displays it.
