PURPOSE:To perform simultaneous analysis rapidly with high sensitivity and high accuracy, by respectively connecting a cation exchange resin column and an anion exchange resin column or the anion exchange resin column and a separation column in series relation. CONSTITUTION:A liquid to be examined is guided to a cation exchange resin column 7A by an eluent 1A, and vanillylmandelic acid (VMA), homovanillic acid (HVA) and other acidic component eluted previously from said column 7A are separated from creatinine (CRN) and other basic component eluted later therefrom. Subsequently, the eluent from which CRN is separated enters an anion exchange resin column 7B and VMA and HVA previously eluted in said column 7B are guided to a separation column 9 by eluents 1C, 1D by changing over a valve 8B and VMA is separated from HVA in said column 9. CRN eluted later from the column 7A is guided to a detector 11 by valve operation to be detected while VMA and HVA are eluted from the column 9 to be detected by a detector 10. After the finish of detection, eluents 1B, 1E are allowed to flow in order to wash flow passages. By this initialization, analysis can be repeatedly performed. |
