PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce errors in the amount of paper feed by making phases coincident with each other so that the eccentricity between the center of the outer surface or paper feed surface of a paper feed roller and a bearing for the paper feed roller is canceled out with the eccentricity between the center of a tooth surface of a pulley and the aforementioned bearing. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed roller 1 is set on a V-block 12 located on a stool 11, through the intermediary of bearings 5. By making a dial meter 13 abut against the paper feed surface 1a of the roller 1 which is then rotated, a mark 1c is set on the attaching part 1b of a toothed pulley 2, corresponding to a position where the radius of the roller is maximum. Then the toothed pulley 2 is fixed on a measuring shaft 14, and is set on the V-block 12 through the intermediary of the bearings 5. Thereafter, the toothed pulley 2 is rotated, and a mark 2c is set on the side surface of the toothed pulley 2, corresponding to a position where the radius of the tooth surface 2a is maximum. Accordingly, the paper feed roller 1 and the toothed pulley 2 are fastened together so that the mark 1c is aligned with the mark 2c. With this arrangement it is possible to decrease errors in the amount of paper feed.
