PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the pump operation by controlling the optimum guide vane opening in response to the electric power command concurrently with the input control and rotating speed control of a motor. CONSTITUTION:The optimum rotating speed NOPT is calculated based on the electric power command Po and full pump head HST from the outside, and it is compared with the actual rotating speed N. The Optimum guide vane opening YOPT is calculated based on the load command Po and full pump head HST from the outside of an electric power control circuit, and it is compared with the actual guide vane opening Y. N=NOPT can be set by a rotating speed control circuit, and Y= YOPT can be set by a guide vane control circuit. Accordingly, the high-efficiency load control can be performed in response to the electric power command.
