Ink-ribbon cartridges for typewriters or office machines of similar type are subject to different design requirements, the intention being, above all, for them to be easily exchangeable by means of one-handed operation. Since the transporting elements, for example for the carbon ribbon, in cartridges of this type are also mounted in the housing, these cartridges are very expensive. In order to avoid this, ink-ribbon cartridges with exchangeable ink-ribbon spools have been disclosed. The invention is now based on the object of providing an ink-ribbon cartridge with reloadable ink-ribbon spools, which permits a simple and reliable exchange of the ink-ribbon spools and permits simple attachment of the ink ribbon to the winding core (85). This is achieved in that the receiving spool (15) is mounted with a bearing bore (117) so as to be rotatable about a bearing journal (14) and with a bearing surface (118) on a resting surface (81) which is arranged snugly below the receiving bore (86) for the attachment element (92). As a result of this and by means of further developments, the threading-in and attachment of the ink ribbon (29) on the winding core (85) are greatly facilitated. <IMAGE>
