PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing of a strain generator or the formation of a detection element, by forming a plate-like strain generator having a detection surface formed thereto between a central part and a peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like strain generator 1 has a thick peripheral part 2 having high rigidity formed into a ring shape and mount holes 3 are formed to the peripheral part 2. This peripheral part 2 serves as the support part 4 fixed to a fixing part. A thick central part 5 is formed to the center of the strain generator 1 and serves as an acting part 7 for receiving external force. A thin plate part 8 is formed between the support 4 and the acting part 7 and the surface of said plate part 8 serves as a detection surface 9. Holes 10 are formed to the flat part 8 and detection elements 14 are formed to the diverged parts 13 between the holes 10.
