PURPOSE:To permit recording of two-color images and to permit medium contrast as well by varying exposing time within the range where the peak value of exposing energy does not change at every exposure of image writing. CONSTITUTION:Intensity of A-color light can be changed to 3 stages; 0, 1/2 and 1 in image writing. The light intensity 1/2 corresponds to the ground texture part. Exposing by the A-color light of the intensities 1 and 1/2 is variable in the range where the exposing time per dot does not change the peak of the exposing energy in writing. The densities of the black recording image and the recording images of the other colors are changed by varying the exposing time in the above-mentioned manner, by which the expression and development of the medium contrast is permitted. The expression of the mixed colors of the black and the other colors is possible according to the ratio of the exposing time if the exposing light rays of different intensities are combined within one dot.
