The present invention relates to an apparatus for reshaping a large-sized fibrous web, consisting of a mass of textile fibres, into a card sliver of low width, in particular for a rectilinear comber, comprising principally a conveyor belt (3) of the said fibrous web (1), which belt is mounted on a cover surface (4) which is arranged above a sliver funnel (5) and is equipped with a system for blowing on the fibrous web (1). Apparatus characterised in that it is provided with improved means (6) for collecting the fibrous web (1) and for uniformly and progressively rolling in the borders (7) of the said fibrous web (1), so that the edges (8) of the borders (7) are stiffened and strengthened so that the card sliver (2) achieved using this fibrous web (1) is cohesive, uniform and homogeneous. <IMAGE>
