<p>PURPOSE:To accurately measure an intake air capacity by forming a sensing passage in a venturi state and securely placing an air flow in a laminar state. CONSTITUTION:The sensing passage 21 is formed in the venturi state, so the air flow is throttled at the narrowest venturi part G of the sensing passage 21 to increase in air speed, so the air flow is securely put in the laminar state. For the purpose, a communication sensor 7 and a temperature compensating sensor 8 are only arranged at the narrowest venturi part G, and consequently the sensing passage 21, i.e. flowmeter 100 is manufactured shorter than when it is not formed in the venturi shape. Consequently, the flowmeter is prevented from becoming large-sized, the air flow is securely put in the laminar state, and the intake air capacity is accurately measured.</p> |
