PURPOSE:To form an electrophotographic sensitive body having superior exposure sensitivity characteristics, high sensitivity in the long wavelength region of >=780nm, stability during repeated uses, and small photomemory by incorporating a specified kind of metal-free phthalocyanine in an electric charge generating layer, and another specified compound in a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer contains at least one kind of tau, tau', eta, eta' types of metal-free phthalocyanines, and the charge transfer layer contains one of the compounds represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, or aryl; each of R3-R5 is H or -NR1(R2); and n is 0 or 1, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be enhanced in sensitivity and reduced in photomemory and deterioration due to light by using the compound of formula I as the charge transfer agent, and the amount of charge transfer material to be used in the charge transfer layer to be lessened by high sensitivity, and accordingly, great effects to be exerted on durability and environment resistance of the photosensitive body. |
