PURPOSE:To facilitate the balance adjustment for a crankshaft over a wide range by adjusting the balance of the crankshaft by spreading a lubricating oil feeding passage formed on a crank pin. CONSTITUTION:Though the balance of a crankshaft 1 is adjusted after the grinding work for a journal 2 and a crank pin 5 and the boring work for passages 6-8, said balance adjustment is carried out by applying the drilling work onto a passage 7 through the opening 7a of the passage 7 and spreading the passage 7. A filter 11 having a metal mesh laid onto a circular iron frame is installed onto a stage part 7b formed by a newly prepared spread passage 7' and the passage 7, and an embedded cock 12 is press-fitted into the opening 7a. Further, the balance adjustment can be carried out also by selecting the shape and material of the embedded cock 12. |
