PURPOSE:To monitor always all light emitting elements by providing a branch light guide to each light emitting element of an optical gate signal generator. CONSTITUTION:Branch light guides 101-10n-1 are provided to light emitting elements 11-1n-1 respectively of an optical gate signal generating circuit 6 which ignites optical thyristors 21-2n-1. Then the optical gate signals generated from the elements 11-1n-1 are transmitted to a monitor circuit 11. Thus it is possible to always monitor all light emitting elements by means of the elements 11-12n-1 and a fault detecting circuit 14, etc. Therefore it is possible to detect all of the open faults of the light emitting elements, the short-circuit faults and the reduction of optical output. This circuit ensures a proper protecting operation. At the same time, a mimic signal is applied to a driving circuit 5 before operation of a thyristor converter. Thus the optical gate check is possible for all light emitting elements. |
