PURPOSE:To execute always good development by installing 2 developing means and providing the second developing means with a recovery roller for recovering only a one-component type developer of developers scraped down from a developing roller after transfer by magnetic attraction. CONSTITUTION:When a 2-component type developer is contained in magnetic toners, it is conveyed together with a one-component type toner on a developing roller X, and scraped down from a sleeve 13 with a scraping blade 15. Since the 2-component type developer heavier than the magnetic toner by about 3 figures, it is attracted by the gravity right downward stronger than by the magnetic force of a recovery roller and collected just below the scraping blade 15.
