In order to create a plastic coupling for telecommunications plug connections on extension cables for telephone sets and the like, consisting of a socket part and of a plug part matched thereto, in the case of which the risk of the coupling becoming detached inadvertently is avoided as far as possible, which furthermore has high resistance to being trodden on (is of robust design) and is largely resistant to water spray, it is proposed that wall parts (5, 6) be integrally formed on the socket part (1), which wall parts (5, 6) surround the plug retaining space on all sides, and that at least one wall part (for example 5 or 6) is held such that it can be removed, releasing the insertion path of the plug part (3). <IMAGE>
