PURPOSE:To make it possible to omit an operation switch and to rationally set the resetting condition of a microcomputer containing therein a burner controller by setting a burner controller rapidly in a reset state when a combustion request ceases, and substituting a water flow detection switch, a hot water filling switch and an additional heating switch for the role of an operation switch. CONSTITUTION:When a water flow detection switch 18 has detected a water flow in the closed state of a solenoid valve 19 for opening or closing a fuel flowpath, or under a condition where the water flow is not detected, at least any of a hot water filling switch S2 and an additional heating switch S1 is operated, a microcomputer 11 within a burner controller 10 is released from the reset state only when the microcomputer 11 within a burner controller 10 is in a reset state. On the other hand, when all the modes are in an off state, the computer 11 is allowed to close the solenoid valve 19. Thereafter, resetting is not applied to the computer 11 before a predetermined time passes.
