The invention relates to a vibrating roller for compacting work. Known vibrating rollers necessitate pressure-oil pumps which are separate for travel on the one hand and for vibration on the other hand and which lead to the respective drive. Furthermore, a common pressure-oil pump is known, but this is to be operated at a different rotational speed according to the requirement of the travel drive, so that the vibration capacity is dependent on the travelling speed. The invention eliminates this defect in that, when only one oil-pressure pump is used, it provides a throughflow-quantity controller which is located between the oil-pressure pump and the vibration drive and which always supplies the vibration drive with the same pressure-oil quantity, whilst a pressure-oil stream previously branched off leads to the travel drive. The adjustment of the oil-pressure pump takes place according to the requirement of the travel drive, in that the drive motor of the pressure-oil pump is controlled correspondingly as a function of the rotational speed.
