PURPOSE:To enable production of food, such as ''KURIMANJU'' (bun prepared by covering chestnut with confectionery dough) or strawberry jelly prepared by covering strawberries with jelly, in a preferred form, by using an apparatus having an extruder, intermittent extrusion molding means, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a gate 3 of putting out passage 21 of an intermittent extrusion molding means 2 is closed, a plastic food material (P) is fed and filled from an extruder 1 into a cylindrical cavity 23 of the molding means 2. A solid food material (S) is then fed into a cylindrical chamber 22 of the molding means 2. The solid food material (S) is subsequently pushed with a piston (51a) while opening the gate of the putting out passage 21 and the plastic food material (P) is simultaneously fed from the extruder 1 under pressure. Thereby the whole periphery of the solid food material (S) is covered with the plastic food material (P), which is then squeezed and cut to provide a modular food. |
