PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate of excellent properties in good efficiency in a safe environment, by forming it from prepregs prepared by impregnating cellulosic bases with a mixed varnish of a resol cresol resin and a water-soluble low-MW resol phenol resin. CONSTITUTION:A resol cresol resin is mixed with a water-soluble low-MW resol phenol resin, and cellulosic bases are impregnated with the obtained mixed varnish and dried by heating to obtain prepregs. The necessary number of these prepregs are laminated and molded under applied pressure and heat to obtain a phenol resin laminate. To ensure sufficient infiltrability, by mixing proportion of the water-soluble low-MW resol phenol resin to the resol cresol resin is desirably 5-20wt.%. When this proportion is above 20wt.%, the hardness of the resin after molding under applied heat and pressure increases and the processability of the laminate worsens undesirably. |
