Removal licence plate for vehicle - incorporates clip fastening with security lock

The licence plate (1) is mounted inside a support frame (1) with a backing and enclosing a hollow space. The backing plate has shaped holes which are gripped by the press fittings (11) on the support mounting on the vehicle. An additional central catch (16) secures the fitting. The licence plate is mounted on a plastic moulded support plate. The central catch is key operated and has a locking lever (19) which grips the rearside of a slot in the vehicle mounting.
