The supporting arrangement is intended to permit a visual display unit (3) to be adjusted continuously into a large number of positions. The supporting arrangement contains a horizontal supporting arm (4) and a vertical supporting arm (6), the latter being mounted on a table top (2) or a wall, by means of a holder (7). The horizontal supporting arm (4) is split into two partial arms between which can be pushed in the longitudinal direction of the supporting arm (4) a sliding body (5) supporting the visual display unit (3). The supporting arm (6) is arranged rotatably in the holder (7) and movably in the vertical direction, and is supported by means of a spring on the lower end of the holder (7). On the sliding body (5) there is rotatably arranged a supporting part (11) on which the visual display unit (3) is mounted, such that it can be inclined. Underneath the visual display unit (3) there is arranged a handle (12) for adjustment to different positions. This handle (12) can also hold a keyboard in an out-of-use position and/or a ready-for-use position.
