PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material having excellent high-speed recording characteristics and plasticizer resistance and diazo developing liquid resistance characteristics, by using a specified compound as a color reaction agent capable of a color reaction upon making contact with a colorless or light-colored basic dye. CONSTITUTION:At least one compound of formula [I] is used as a color reaction agent. In the formula, R1 is hydrogen, a halogen, hydroxyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or alkoxyl, R2 is hydrogen or a substd. or unsubstd. alkyl, X is an alkylene or aralkylene which may have an ether linkage, and n is 0, 1 or 2. A colorless or light-colored basic dye is a triallylmethane dye, a diphenylmethane dye, a thiazine dye, a spiro dye or the like. The color reaction agent is preferably used in an amount of 100-400 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the basic dye. |
