The shelving system comrpises two frames (1,2) each provided with trays or shelves whereby each frame and each shelf is twice as deep as the length of a book or file. The two frames are connected together at the front along their contact faces by hinges (4,4',4'') so that they can be rotated, the baseplates of the two frames rest on rotatable guide wheels (13) fixed at each corner. One or other frame can now be swivelled out away from the wall allowing the side of the frame facing the wall to be filled with books. USE/ADVANTAGE - The shelf unit now has twice the normal capacity while occupying minimum extra space.
