PURPOSE:To permit easy driving of a spindle motor even if a magnetic head and disk are attracted to each other by forming a coated film in a region to be used for contact start stop to the strength lower than the strength of the coated film in other parts. CONSTITUTION:A coating compd. prepd. from magnetic powder, resin, coated film strengthening agent, and hardener is coated on a material 6 made of an aluminum alloy to form the coated film 4. Coating is generally executed by spin coating. The coated disk is subjected to curing of the coated film 4 by a thermal curing furnace, IR heater, etc. Recalcination of the C.S.S. (contact start stop) zone 2 is then executed to weaken the sintering strength of the coated film of the C.S.S. zone 2 so that the coated film 4 itself breaks down and the spindle motor runs even if the disk 1 sticks to the magnetic head. The heating method includes heating by a laser, heating method using surface eddy current, etc. A lubricating agent 5 is thereafter coated on the surface.
