In this invention of a roofing shingle (aluminum or sheet-metal) the vertical left-hand side slides into, up and over the previous shingle on the right-hand side and inter-connects with the same, therefore any precipitation cannot backtrack into the connection of the two shingles. The vertical right-hand side of the said shingle provides an anchor and guide to the following shingle. The top horizontal line of the shingle is bent downwards and backtracks on the same line to extend past the shingle face. It provides an area in which the nails can fasten the shingle onto the roof without penetrating any exposed area of the face of the shingle. All accessories for the shingle pertaining to the roof are constructed using these same principles: a. Gable ends, male and female b. Starter strip c. Capping d. Wall flashing and side flashing e.
