PURPOSE:To eliminate the miscontrol with a program controller by storing the control parameter segment number set by a program segment preceding by a step after skipping the setting processes. CONSTITUTION:A program controller supplies a process signal to a control arithmetic part 2 via an input part 1 and calculates a manipulated variable by the PID arithmetic, etc., with reference to a program file 3 and a control parameter file 4 to output said variable from an output part 5. When the control parameter segment number included in a program segment is set, the corresponding segment number set by a program segment preceding a single step in case the setting processes are skipped or and the number corresponding to the corresponding segment stored in the file 4 is not designated. Thus the control parameter is never uncertain regardless of any specific program segment where the control is started.
