<p>- Fluid-Tight Flexible Connection between Hollow Sections A fluid-tight flexible connection to be assembled by simple insertion is described. It consists of couplings (27, 28) of soft elastic material, inserted in cavities (11) of hollow sections (12, 13) and flexible parts (29) of likewise soft elastic material as well as nipples (32) to be inserted in passages (33) of the couplings (27, 28) and transverse passages (34) or the flexible parts (29) with the aid of barbs exerting an expanding action, and having an internal bore (39). The nipples (32) consist of hard material. The nipples (32) provide a fluid-tight connection between the several parts, namely hollow sections (12, 13), coupling parts (27, 28) and flexible parts (29), which connection has a comparatively high tensile strength in the direction of the cavities (11) by virtue of the barbs. The adjoining hollow sections (12, 13) can hinge relative to each other owing to the elasticity of the flexible part (29), the maximum hinge angle being determined by the elasticity of the flexible part (29) and its length. Preferably, the cross section of the passage (33) in the coupling (27, 28) and the external cross section of the portion of the nipple (32) to be inserted in the said passage (33) are matched to the cross section of the cavity (11) in question, in order to achieve an improved pressing action in the corners of the cavities (11) as well.
