PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum recording current by storing the optimum head recording current value obtained from the measured result of an individual characteristic in a storage part as data and using an information value about the circumstances of a peripheral constitution part as a selection address for the storage part. CONSTITUTION:By previously measuring the characteristic of a medium and respective heads, the optimum recording current values corresponding to the individual combinations between the respective recording positions on the medium and the respective heads is obtained and stored in a P-ROM 1. At the time of real actions, high rank eight bits (a) of a current cylinder number and head selection information (b) are inputted in the address input terminal of the P-ROM 1 and corresponding recording current value (d) is outputted from a data output terminal. The value (d) is inputted in the digital input terminal of a D/A converter 2 and corresponding voltage (e) is generated in the analog output terminal of the converter 2. By receiving the voltage (e), the intended optimum recording current flows in the output (c) by a transistor 3, a current limiting resistance R1 and a lowest current deciding resistance R2. |
