摘要 PURPOSE:To improve time resolution without varying the shape of a probe by processing a transmitted and a received signal from a flaw detecting device by Fourier transform, processing the signal by using a function based upon the constant of the structure of the probe, and then performing inverse Fourier transformation. CONSTITUTION:The transmitted and received signals obtained by the probe 1 and flaw detecting device 2 are recorded on a recorder 3 such as a transient recorder. Then a Fourier transformer device 4 processes the transmitted and received signals individually by Fourier transform. A computer 6 processes the function obtained by a function generator 5 from the structure the number of magnets EMAT for transmission and reception, the distance between the magnets, the distance between transmitter and receivers, and the acoustic speed in a sample of the probe 1. The output obtained as a result of arithmetic processing is transformed by an inverse Fourier transformation device 7 into a time number, which is displayed on a display device 8 such as a CRT.
