PURPOSE:To attain a compact device from which a moire or a false color is removed by providing any one of a multiple curved surface, a polyhedron surface, a symmetric cylindrical surface, an asymmetrical refracting interface and an axially symmetric aspherical surface on an optical path to a solid-state image pickup element from the front end of an objective lens. CONSTITUTION:A lens having the multiple curved surface 9 is disposed in the vicinity of the diaphragm 8 of the objective lens 7 disposed at the object side of the solid-state image pickup element 6. This multiple curved surface 9 has a form obtained by cutting off the side surfaces of two spherical lenses a1, a2 and connecting and segmenting it in a circular form by centering a connecting line as shown in broken lines a3. When the eccentricity of the two spherical surfaces is defined to be D1, D2, a double image deviated by a distance D2+D2 is formed on the solid state image pickup element 6 by considering the magnification of an optical system backward of the multiple curved surface 9 as beta.
