PURPOSE:To enable the accurate detection of overload by detecting the operating current of a motor for rotating a seat cushion and judging said motor to be under overload when the time at which said operating current exceeded an allowable value which is different between the seating time and non-seating time of a rider becomes above a set value. CONSTITUTION:A seat cushion A is rotatably supported on a vehicle floor and is rotated between a front direction and a getting on/off way direction by the drive of a motor C which is controlled by a control means B. In such a seat, a current detecting means D for detecting the operating current of the motor C is provided. Also, a seating detecting means E for detecting the seating of a rider is provided. And, a time at which the operating current is above an allowable value is compared with a set value by an overload judging means F and, when the measured time exceeded the set value, the motor C is judged to be under overload and the motor C is stopped. The set value is varied to a large value when a rider is seated while to a small value when a rider is not seated by a set value varying means G.
