PURPOSE:To feed and discharge sheets and the like with an operation on a single panel and enable the easy solution of a trouble by constituting two panels for a sheet feed and discharge operation, stacking discharged sheets on a stacker by turns via the reversal process thereof and enabling the feed and discharge operation on a main panel. CONSTITUTION:A sheet feed cassette 1 is pulled out to the front of the titled main body for feeding sheets 2 therein. When the device has been operated, the sheets 2 are fed out piece by piece to a sheet carriage passage and transferred to a process unit 14 for image formation. And sheets as printed are stacked piece by piece on a stacker 6, with the printed side thereof directed downward and taken out from the front side of the main body. If a trouble has occurred during the carriage of the sheets 2, the upper part 15B of the main body is opened about a hinge 7 and the sheet carriage passage is exposed, thereby enabling easy repairs and the restoration of a proper condition. Therefore, sheet feed and discharge can be done with a single panel operation and repairs can be done easily without re-paging sheets.
