PURPOSE:To enhance an operating efficiency, by a method wherein a plate- registering mark is formed on a screen simultaneously with making a printing pattern in a fixed positional relation, and a relative positional relation between the screen and a matter to be printed is so corrected that a reference line preset on an faceplate and the plate-registering mark are overlaid with each other. CONSTITUTION:On a screen 1, register marks 3 for registering a plate are formed simultaneously with making a printing pattern 2, preferably on two or more points. After a substrate 4 as a matter to be printed is securely loaded on an X-Y-theta table 5, the screen 1 is set, and a TV camera and a TV monitor 11 are turned ON to find whether a cursor line 15 as a reference is coincident with a register mark 3A, i.e. the displayed register mark 3 for registering the screen plate, on the scope of the TV monitor 11. Here, the cursor line 15 having a horizontal line 15x and a vertical line 15y is previously written on the faceplate of the TV monitor. If the cursor line 15 does not coincide with the displayed register mark 3A, the position of the substrate 4 to the screen 1 is so corrected as to be coincident with each other by moving the X-Y-theta table 5, and then the registering is completed.
