PURPOSE:To purge completely a slurry piping system at the interruption of slurry feed by connecting a slurry takeout pipe to one outlet of a three-way valve and a purge media feed pipe to the other outlet of said valve. CONSTITUTION:When the supply of a slurry has been interrupted, a slurry takeoff valve 3 closes. Concurrently therewith, a purge valve 15a opens and a three-way valve 4 opens for purging, thereby supplying a purge media 16 to the inside of a slurry takeout pipe 6. And particles precipitating just below the slurry takeoff valve 3 or in the horizontal portion of a T-pipe are purged and a slurry in piping after the slurry takeoff valve 3 is completely displaced. Also, when a slurry tank 1 is emptied of a slurry 2, a feed valve 9 closes, a return valve 12 opens and the purge media 16 is supplied from the purge valve 15a, thereby washing the inner wall of the slurry tank 1.
