PURPOSE:To heat and dry directly only the part to be heated and dried of a carbon fiber prepreg cylindrical body, by providing an infrared heater in opposition the same. CONSTITUTION:After a core metal 2 has been made into a cylindrical body by winding, for example, a carbon fiber prepreg 1 round the core metal 2, the core metal 2 is inserted into a far infrared heater 10 on a base plate 3. Then the far infrared heater 10 is electrified and the carbon fiber prepreg 1 wound round the core metal 2 is heated by infrared rays while turning the same by starting a motor 6. With this construction, a thin film 9 provided on the surfaces of the carbon fiber prepreg 1 and core metal 2 is heated by the far infrared rays and a part which heating is not required, is not heated. Therefore, the carbon fiber prepreg 1 can be cured in a short period and, moreover, at little electric consumption. |
