A threshing machine comprises a conveyer 10 (Fig. 1, not shown) for picking up a swath, and an auger 11 mounted on platform 13 and adapted to convey crop to a beater and perforated or imperforated concave 17, the conveying of the crop being assisted by a secondary conveyer 28. The platform 13 includes a substantially vertical stone guard 14. Straw and grain pass from the beater and concave into a rotary tumbler 37 and the straw is projected rearwardly thereof. Grain which passes through the lower portion of the tumbler is carried by radial blades attached thereto to a discharge opening 39 and winnowing assembly 34. A rotary perforated cylinder 43 of the winnowing asembly allows air from blower 47 to pass therethrough so that chaff passing over the cylinder is discharged through opening 60. The grain passes between the cylinder and panel 56 to a delivery auger 55. Flaps control air passing between panels 56, 61 and 63. When a perforated concave is employed grain is delivered by an auger 77, and a substantially vertical conveyer 78 to an auger 85 parallel to and positioned above the perforated cylinder. |
