Cytostatic preparations for the treatment of malignant tumours comprise a cytostatic component comprising a hydrazide derivative of podophyllinic acid (especially the ethyl hydrazide) and a plasmakinin component comprising kallidin, methionyl hallidin or bradykinin. The preparation may comprise from 400 to 1600 mg. of the hydrazide derivative of podophyllinic acid and from 5 to 200γ of the plasmakinin component. The preparation may be administered intra-arterially e.g. by infusion of aqueous solutions containing NaCl or glucose. The preparation may be in the form of a pack comprising the two components, preferably contained in separate ampoules so that the components may either be separately administered simultaneously or may first be admixed and administered. |
