PURPOSE:To securely transfer folded leaves by constituting a guide unit from an endless belt provided with at least a projection in a predetermined pitch so that the projection of one belt and a thin portion of the other belt are opposed alternatively to sandwich folded leaves for parallel travelling. CONSTITUTION:Since first transport belts 12, 13 travels somewhat faster than cutting drums 10, 11, folded leaves having hardly intervals therebetween in the cutting thereof will have proper intervals to facilitate sorting. The folded leaves transported by the first transport belts 12, 13 are moved from the center traveling position on a thick portion 101a of one projecting belt to a thin portion 100b of the other projecting belt contacting said portion 101a by a pair of projecting belts 100, 101 of guide units 108, 109. Further, similarly, the folded leaf coming next is moved toward the thin portion 101b of one projecting belt. These series of operations are alternatively repeated at every one rotation of projecting belts 100, 101, so that the folded leaves are securely sorted into two directions and transferred.
