PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in traveling stability by varying a set value to be large at the time of increase in a driving torque in a device which judges a wheel spin from comparison with a set value based on the rotating information on a wheel to reduce engine power. CONSTITUTION:A wheel acceleration is operated 23 from the wheel speed lowest value obtained by selecting 10 the lowest value out of the outputs of wheel speed operating circuits 22a-22d, and this wheel acceleration is compared with the set values of acceleration and deceleration by comparators 18, 19. Also, the lower one between a pseudo-vehicle speed which is generated by a pseudo-vehicle speed generating circuit 25 and which is estimated after a wheel spin and the wheel speed lowest value is selected 12 and outputted to a comparator 20 and compared with a set value. And, the wheel spin is judged from the outputs of these comparators 18-20 and a throttle valve 42 is controlled to restrain the power of an engine. In this case, each set value is varied by a varying means 13 to be large at the time of increase in driving torque by means of a driving torque sensor 61.
