PURPOSE:To transfer each of cast pieces in good order and array the cast pieces on a skid rail in good balance by providing a stop position correction switch for laterally fed cast pieces in order to detect the trailing ends of the cast pieces in a feed direction from a casting line. CONSTITUTION:If cast pieces 2, 2 and so forth have been out of balance and in a slant condition, it becomes impossible to transfer the cast pieces 2 to a cast piece reversal body 6 smoothly. Therefore, when the cast pieces 2 are unbalanced and a switch mechanism 31 for regulating a lateral feed cast piece stop position is not ON, regardless of the ON position of a switch mechanism 32 for correcting a lateral feed cast piece stop position, the pushing stroke of a hydraulic cylinder 23a at the leading end of a cast steel feed direction is made relatively large, compared with the pushing stroke of a hydraulic cylinder 23b at the trailing end of said direction. According to the aforesaid constitution, the cast pieces 2 are arrayed with the direction thereof corrected in good balance and approximately orthogonal with a skid rail 4.
