Device for electronic counting with the aid of a pen having electrical contact obtained by manual pressure, the said electrical contact making it possible to display, at each press, and on the screen of a standard commercial calculator, a figure adding or subtracting from the previous one according to the memory chosen on the calculator; the electrical contact of the pen is obtained with the aid of a single metal wire and acts at the level of the calculator in the same way as pressing on the chosen key would do. Such a device applies particularly in the field of translation for counting the words translated.
